Haiku Horizons – Wave

wave me adieu, love

not goodbye, please prop the door

wide – we’ll meet again.

I’ve found a new (to me) poetry prompt – Haiku Horizons. This week, our lovely host has offered us the word ‘wave’. Now, I know I probably should be heading down the Nature path, but I’m a contrary soul, so I opted for a different approach – I hope you enjoy it!

Please head on over the Haiku Horizons to read other offerings – and be a devil – take part!

Without these – Prompt Night A Dash of Sunny

quadrille, cadmium red

a bleeding heart dashed on the rocks below

haiku, rose madder

soft cheeks blushing in childhood innocence

rondeau, prussian blue

shadowy arctic wastes and frozen marrow

triolet, permanent sap green

grass winking in the dewy dawn

perylene violet, davy’s grey, chinese white

free verse, prose

colour

words

my passions

my heart

my soul

my raison d’être

otherwise

i am but a shadow

This week, A Dash of Sunny invites us to write a poem inspired by passion. I wonder, can you guess what keeps me going in the face of day to day living?

Why not join in and take part? All are welcome and your host is a simply lovely lady!

TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge – Shadow

when the shadow leaves

I feel light, but cast adrift –

my roots are severed

constant company

you are, shadow companion

remain at my feet

Here’s my entry into this week’s Haiku Challenge from our lovely Francophile, TJ, where this week’s prompt is ‘shadow’. He invite us to be inspired by either the word, or the image he has provided, or both!

Why not join in, or just read if you’re feeling shy?
