Microscopic – TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge

i am the shining

sand revealed as waves depart,

hard-ridged underfoot

who would have thought that

such tiny elements could

hurt bare arches so?

Doh! I linked to the wrong link on TJ’s blog earlier. Well, that means there is double the amount of haiku than normal – more for TJ’s new Haiku Hub!

This week’s prompt is actually ‘tide’ – I thought about what lies beneath the waves instead!

Please do hop on over the TJ’s blog, have a good read, and maybe offer up a haiku (or two) yourself?

TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge – Green

our minds are verdant

with possibility, yet

we are such infants.

the grass is no more

green over there, perception

fools our truth-blind eyes.

It’s time for TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge, where this week we are invited to write on the subject of green – or take our inspiration from the lovely photo he has provided for us.

Please do head on over to his blog and take a look at all the delicious haiku – and why not try a haiku for yourself?

harness the trade winds

soar to the star-spangled sky

immerse in beauty

imagination

take flight, pierce the stratosphere

give wings to your soul

Where does the time go? It flies, right? It seems only moments since I was sitting at my spot on the sofa, writing last week’s haiku for TJ’s revamped Household Haiku Challenge!

This week, TJ invites us to write a haiku inspired by either the image he has supplied, the word (this week, ‘wing’), or both! So, here are my two offerings, I hope you enjoy them! Please do hop on over to his blog to see the other lovely haiku offerings, and why not take part yourself? It’s fun!
