The Roads We Travel

The writer’s brain is full of twists and turns, cul de sacs and U-turns. There might be hills and valleys, cliff (hangers), detours, forks in the road and missing signposts. Frustration, emptiness, despair and angst are part and parcel of the journey we take.

Would we trade in the tears and tantrums for a less challenging way of life?

No.

Well, I wouldn’t, anyway.

Because the high, when it all comes together, is indescribable.

What do you think?

Process – Trifextra Week 76

This week the Trifecta team have been inspired by recent up close and personal contact with Neil Gaiman, one of my favourite authors. We have been asked to offer our own three words which describe our writing process. Firstly I thought about biscuits. Then tea. Then I got distracted by my desire for both. Then I got serious….I hope you enjoy my offering – please visit here to read many more!

Please excuse the strange formatting – I am trying to submit this on my so-called smartphone, on a train, with rubbish connection. I will remove all shouting caps and terrible formatting when I am in front of a real computer. Unless I have spontaneously combusted with frustration before then.

+++ Update: I like tidy. So I have edited the formatting, typos and other glitches that resulted from my smartphone-fest yesterday. Really, I am so anal that I have to resist going way back to the beginning of this blog (well, that was only April this year!) in order to get all the posts in the same font format.
