Bud – TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge

Nature’s secrets cupped

within, germs of ideas

wait to be released

More slowly than the

eye can detect, petals peel

back, glory revealed.

It’s time for TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge – hurrah! This week, TJ invites us to write, inspired by the word ‘bud’. Of course, nature is the obvious prompt, so I thought I’d tread the obvious path – I hope you enjoy!

Please do head on over to TJ’s blog to read more and maybe take part, if you feel moved to so.

TJ is off on his travels soon, so happy and safe journeying to him.

Ukigumo nights – dVerse Haibun Monday

Watercolour-whisp clouds, drifting as if the merest hint of Chinese White has been dabbed from sable onto Coeruluem Blue. The sky is a vast upturned cup, an endless realm. I stand and stare, transfixed for a moment, forgetting all that the day has laid at my feet.

This week, it’s Haibun Monday’s turn over on dVerse (and yes, I am a day late, please forgive me!). The lovely Kanzensakura is our host for the haibun and we have been invited to write on the theme of sky.

I hope you enjoy my offering and please do head on over to dVerse to look up, up and away and enjoy what others have written.

Microscopic – TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge

such tiny elements could

Doh! I linked to the wrong link on TJ’s blog earlier. Well, that means there is double the amount of haiku than normal – more for TJ’s new Haiku Hub!

This week’s prompt is actually ‘tide’ – I thought about what lies beneath the waves instead!

Please do hop on over the TJ’s blog, have a good read, and maybe offer up a haiku (or two) yourself?
