Perfume – TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge

heady scents drowning

out my thoughts, erasing bad

memories – pure bliss

i scrape my mind clean

starting anew, a clean slate

is my one desire

It’s time for TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge, where this week we are invited to write on the theme of garden/bottlebrush. Much of my writing, be it poetry or prose, is catharsis for me. The ups and downs are all fodder for my creativity! Thank you, TJ, for providing today’s inspiration!

Why not join in, or if you’re feeling shy, just read and enjoy?

TJ has created a Haiku Hub on his blog – do take a look, read, enjoy, find inspiration, take part! TJ has provided us with a great logo to add to any posts that you want to be included in his hub. I’m honoured to be an inaugural member! Thank you again, TJ 🙂

TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge – Dew

Cleanse me, erase my

darkness, purge my soul, morning

dew. You, my saviour.

Skin brushed by breeze, I

lick the droplets from leaf tips

and inhale the morn.

TJ has reinvigorated his Household Haiku Challenge and given us haiku addicts a choice – be inspired by the photo he provides, or by the word prompt (‘dew’ this week), or, if you’re feeling completely crazy, use both!

I went for ‘dew’ (yes, really I did!), and as has become my pattern so far (third week running), I offer two haiku for you to read. I hope you enjoy them both!

Please do head on over to TJ’s blog, read the haiku, or go crazy yourself and take part – why not?
