This weekend, the Trifecta team have set us limits and set us free at the same time. The limit: 33 words only. The freedom – incorporate colour into your offering. “Use the color to describe anything you like, or use anything you like to describe your color, but keep it creative and keep it short.”

So, here’s my piece. Why not visit here to read all the other brilliant offerings and weave a bit of colour into your life?!

– Gouache –
In my eyes-wide daydreams, your colours flash before me. You – an artistβs pallet dominated by green. Maverick ties. Secret socks hidden by sober suits. A twist on the ordinary β just like you.

Lovely Freya. Someone you love should be flattered.
Thank you. I hope so.
Wonderfully written piece that’s left me smiling in recognition.
Thank you! Spreading a little happiness over the weekend – that’s not a bad thing π
I smile when I imagine the hidden socks :). Lovely piece.
They always made me smile, too! I’m glad you enjoyed it π
Lovely portrait! I like the detail about the socks. I have always found unprobable socks hidden by more sober trousers to be quite endearing. And the ending line is perfect.
You would have loved my dad, then – it was one of his many rebellions π

“Secret socks hidden by sober suits.” Fun and effective use of alliteration and I always smile when I see Suits doning a bit of their personality.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Nicely done, very pretty words.
Thank you, Anne.
Great post and pic! Lots of fun!
Thank you! There’s nothing wrong with a stripey monkey…
Your piece made me smile. Thank you!
You’re welcome! π
That secret socks line made me smile. I love this.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Smiling is good π
Delightful, from the title, through the maverick ties, and the secret socks. And what a perfect image you chose to accompany your piece!
Thank you – I’m glad you enjoyed the words and the picture! π
I enjoyed reading this
I love it and it fit the picture so well (or vice versa) π
Thank you, Linda. Monkey was made by my own fair hand, out of a sock π
I like the idea of the colorful socks being a happy little secret few get to see.
P.S. That colorful sock monkey is adorable!
I enjoy wearing things that are a bit nonconformist, hidden under my conventional outer shell of work clothes, every now and again π
I’m glad you liked the sock monkey – I have a hedgehog waiting in the wings too… π
Quite the lovely analogy.
Thank you, Lorri.
Secret socks hidden by sober suits…fantastic!
Sometimes, alliteration is the only way! I’m glad enjoyed it!
