So touching and I so relate to this. I lost my father 15 years ago and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. Thanks for sharing your dad with us today. I can see how close you two were.
I do think that those who have died can look down and see those who have been left behind. It is obvious your dad meant a lot to you, that you and he were close.
A most poignant poem Freya, full of nostalgia as well as current thoughts. Yes, the dead live with us somehow and I am sure he thinks of you.
Thank you, Gabriella – yes, poignant is the right word.
Yes, I was thinking of my father in similar vein yesterday as it would have been his birthday.
Those anniversaries are tough, aren’t they? Thank yoy for popping in and reading. Best wishes to you.
sounds like you had a wonderful relationship and think we never lose those connections that grew over the years.. love the mortal fibre part esp…
Yes, we did. We were in tune, for sure. I agree, the connections are never lost, physical or otherwise.
i like the carrying on of them in every bone…we do carry bits of them…the ways they touched our lives…and shaped who we became…smiles..
Thank you, Brian. Yes, their influence only grows stronger, I think.
Love how you can carry him with you … and sorrow becomes bearable.. very good tribute… you do this so well
Thank you so much, Bjorn.

Thank you, HA 🙂
How I felt this…I miss my dad so much. He passed away five years ago, I think of him everyday.
Isn’t it strange how once they are gone, they become ever more present in our lives? I hope the feelings were good, not too painful.

Thank you, Linda. I can’t ever imagine not thinking of him, to be honest. We were close, yes.
