Gerald shook his head, then stared at his friend.
To his own satisfaction, Marty couldn’t hold his gaze. “I did what you said. Didn’t I?”
“Really? D’you really think I wanted this?”
“You said you wanted to feel horny again, if it was the last thing you did.”
Gerald sighed. Even as a genie, Marty was a sandwich short of a picnic.
“Idiot! I meant horny as in teenage hormones, you know?! For goodness sake…!”
Marty slumped onto his oversized lamp, rubbing it absentmindedly. “So you didn’t want to be goat in a graveyard then? You didn’t want this to be the last night of your life…?”
No, I didn’t. Now do something about it before I kill you instead…!”

Great story Freya. Excellent use of image and language. Made my laugh.
Thank you! It’s no great work of literary fiction, just a bit of fun for a change 🙂
Very imaginative post and I have read a few variations on this photo since yesterday. You have made me laugh!
Thank you, Gabriella. I just wanted to do something very different and light-hearted. I’m going to have a proper look at the rest of the entries now.
Funny 😀
Thank you!
one sandwish short of a picnic (great) and two horns over the line (hope there’s still a wish left in that lamp)
Hehe! Thank you! As for the leftover wish, well, Marty was rubbing it absentmindedly, so maybe not…
LOL! What an imagination. I felt like I was there – as a male, I’m afraid. Ha Great job.
Thank you, Linda – I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙂
This was great fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good! 🙂
🙂 Loved this.
Dear Freya,
A typical case of, “Be careful what you wish for.” 😉 Fun stuff.

Rochelle
Yes indeed! I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Yeah, do something. Quick! That was fun.
Thank you, Patrick!
LOLOL! Great humor in this, and use of word perception/definition.
Thank you! It’s good to be light-hearted every now and again.
Lol.. I didn’t read the comments but I gotta think someone already said “Be careful what you wish for”.
Indeed they did 🙂
Dear Freya,
Do you suppose genies are grammar nazis too? Great story.
Aloha,
Doug
Haha! If I were a genie, that would be the case! Thank you for reading, and commenting 🙂
I guess it always pays to be precise when you wish for something. Thanks for a laugh to start my weekend.
